The last couple of months have been interesting. I got married and have had family visiting from overseas. My wife and I, as well as two of our friends, all went on a journey to Fredericksburg, Texas for a day of peach ice cream and excellent German food. Fortunately we were able to make a couple of stops on the way so that I could take some photographs. One of our stops was the LBJ Memorial State Park which is essentially a step back in time. The park consists of a farmstead modelled after life in the mid to late 1800's. I was able to walk up to within inches of full grown livestock, which was interesting because I now know first hand that sheep do actually have rectangular shaped pupils.
